Description An iron-nickel alloy electrode for high strength joints on cast iron. Also, for the fabrication and repair of a wide range of cast iron components and for the joining of cast iron to steel. It is used primarily for welding nodular graphite or spheroidal graphite (SG) cast irons and is also suitable for welding the austenitic Ni-Resist irons and alloy cast irons. very resistant to cracking and the weld metal is fully machinable. specially manufactured to avoid electrode overheating. very easy electrode to control due to the soft smooth arc characteristics which produce even weld beads of good contour. |
Description

Weld Deposit Characteristics
A Cast Iron electrode for high strength joints on cast iron. Also, for the fabrication and repair of a wide range of cast iron components and for the joining of cast iron to steel. Very resistant to cracking and the weld metal is fully machinable. specially manufactured to avoid electrode overheating. very easy electrode to control due to the soft smooth arc characteristics which produce even weld beads of good contour.
Weld Deposit Properties
Recommended Application
Used for Welding of normal grades of cast iron, such as grey, ductile and malleable irons. Repairing of cast iron housings, blocks, machinery parts, frames.

Diameter: 2.5/3.25/4.0/5.0 mm
Packing : 5.0 Kg Packages – 2.0 Kg Vacuum Package
Operating Data
Welding Positions
- All Positions
Polarity
- AC & DC (+)
Notes on usage:
Use currents as low as possible. Keep the weld metal length less than 50mm (2 inch) to disperse welding heat. The preheat temperatures vary in accordance with the size, kind and shape of the base metal.100-200℃ (212-392℉) is appropriate in general.
We do hereby certify that; the weld metal deposit, has been tested, mechanically and chemically and all results are comply with the requirements of specifications of Elkadesia for engineering industries and the Specification of ASME II part C SFA 5.01 Class C5 and level of tests in J or 5.
